Some of OC’s top musicians will take center stage as Bistango, the critically acclaimed Irvine restaurant, hosts its inaugural En Plein Air Concert on Wednesday, July 26 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. There is no cover charge or minimum to enjoy the music, which is being produced by veteran drummer and guitarist Tracy Longstreth, whose long career includes stints with the Righteous Brothers and Osmond family before striking out on his own.
In addition to Longstreth, other musicians performing include contemporary blues artist Jay Summers, lead vocalist and guitar player for The West Coast Blues Savants; guitarist/vocalist Tanya Lundy-Mckibben, who has shared her talent in OC clubs including the Coachhouse for more than a decade; and saxophonist Adrian Tapia accompanying guitarist Casey Simpson, both veterans on the local music scene.
“We are excited to host this one-of-a-kind blues concert featuring some of the region’s finest musicians,” said Longstreth. “Each of these performers has a unique style adding their own dimension to what we call the blues. Combine these talents with the stunning outdoor setting that is Bistango Gardens and you can count on an unforgettable evening.”
Space is limited and guests will be admitted on a first come, first serve basis, though priority seating will be offered to those checking in via email@example.com.
Bistango enjoys an enduring and loyal following especially among OC’s business community. It even earned the Register’s best “power lunch destination” designation. Its diverse and eclectic menu of contemporary American cuisine crafted by Executive Chef Javier Montoya has proven popular among locals and critics, alike. In addition to its 400-bottle wine list, which has been heralded by Wine Spectator, Bistango offers an extensive list of classic and specialty cocktails and craft beers. Its outdoor patio, Bistango Gardens is distinguished by mature trees, plants and flowers that lend natural intimacy and an enormous circular fountain that serves as its centerpiece. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner weekdays and dinner-only Saturdays. Live entertainment can be enjoyed each evening in its lounge where couples often dance the night away.
