Long Beach, CA – On May 16, 2009 Women's International Group (WIG) is having a WIG wine tasting event at Ristorante daVinci’s to raise money for WIG Foundation which is a charitable project of Congressional District Programs(CDP) a nonprofit 501© (3). WIG Foundation provides custom-made wigs to women who have lost their hair as the result of chemotherapy, or from other causes. From 11am to 3pm WIG wine and appetizers will be served. Live music will be played by David Heath, and a Hollywood performance by Triple Threat will start at 2pm. We will have wonderful items available in our silent auction and a magician to surprise you. It is a fundraising event you won’t want to miss!

The Women’s International Group was established by two progressive and dedicated women from Southern California, Margie A. Padavan and Leanne Sabo. WIG teamed up with Eagle Castle Winery in Paso Robles, California which is known for having award winning wines. Their mission is to promote elegant wine of outstanding quality that appeals to women, but is appreciated and enjoyed by all.

Sponsorships from companies sympathetic and generous to the causes of women are being sought. Your contribution by purchasing WIG wine or making a donation will not only contribute to seeding our operations, but ultimately and positively change the outlook of these women and help them regain their self-esteem and dignity.
