I would highly recommend any Indian restaurant. Clay Oven in Irvine is amazing. Praveen, the owner, is very helpful for newbies that have never tried Indian food. I always ask for spicy and my mouth is on fire by the second bite! Love it!

I'm with Leena. Any good Indian place will have a good balance of spice and savory goodness. My most recent favorite is Saagar off MacArthur in Newport.
