There should be a Gourmet Food Truck Catagory. Many OC Gourmet Food Trucks deserve recognition for having outstanding chefs and food.

Without a doubt, Roy's Hawaiian Fusion is my favorite restaurant. Its one of those places you want to order everything off the menu because it all sounds so delicious! Each time I go I try something new and I've never been disappointed. When you order a drink from the bar menu with the first sip you're swept away to an exotic island vacation. You can tell that all the flavors in each dish were thoughtfully picked and combined to present a masterpiece of a meal. Beyond all else, the dessert is simply fantastic. Even after a complete meal, one can't pass up the opportunity to try heaven on earth, which is ANY of the desserts on the menu! Overall, the whole dining experience is spectacular at Roy's. Nothing compares to all they have to offer.

I voted -- but I wasnt logged in? so how will you be able to award me the $1275 in gift cards, if this was one of the steps?? :P

I will say openly then, that I nomiated Shan Shi Go in newport beach, so far the best dining experiences Ive had in the OC , every time I go. (I have to admit as well , Roy's was my #2 -- killer food and GREAT Happy Hour)

McCormick and Schmicks in Santa Ana.

They know how to cook seafood.

I love their truffle Butter french fries, roasted beets salada and fried calamari.

Their Dessert items are not too sweet and refreshing.

Make sure to go to their Happy hour....amazing.

Also Roy's happy hour is good too.

Thai Juan On in San Juan Capistrano

Quality ingredients, delicious dishes, gorgeous presentation, fun wine-tasting and tequila-tasting events with incredible menus to go with, friendly, outgoing service, family-run restaurant - what else could you want in a restaurant? I crave Doug's Favorite Soup everytime it's cold & rainy outside - it's sooo good! And the American Fried Rice dish is like nothing you've ever seen before - beautiful and delicious.

It's always hard for me to pick or nominate one, since there are so many great ones.  I'll nominate La Cave, as it's nearby and the food and drinks are consistently good.  I especially LOVE the atmosphere... dark, romantic, edgy, sexy, cool, and underground -- Plus bands and dancing on occasion, which I've yet to experience.  I've got to get back there with a mini flashlight to clearly see my food.  The Prime Rib was excellent last time.  I don't love the twice baked potato like many others do, but that's okay -- I opt for the loaded baked instead.  Oh, I love the bread too.

So now I'll nominate La Cave in the proper place -- I see the link :)

This is a tough one since there are so many great restaurants in the OC. I have to nominate ECCO in Costa Mesa because their Butterscotch Budino is AMAZING! If you have never tried this dessert you are missing out. Try it. I'm serious.

I adore Koto Sushi in Foothill Ranch.  It's the perfect place for a quick lunch with coworkers or a great spot to get together with friends after work.
