Ingredients:
2 apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
1/2 cup cognac
2 cups apple cider
750ml bottle dry sparkling wine, chilled
1/4 cup pomegranate seeds

Directions:
Add the apples to a large pitcher reserving about 1/2 cup for garnishing. Add the cognac, apple cider, and chilled cava. Stir. Fill the pitcher with ice. Pour the sangria into glasses filled with ice and top with sliced apple and pomegranate seeds.

Plan a Traditional Thanksgiving Day


The smell of roast turkey permeates the air. Thoughts of cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes- golden with butter and a green bean casserole made with a cream sauce float along with that smell of turkey. These are some of today’s traditional Thanksgiving day dinner items. But the original Thanksgiving was far from the traditions we know of today.  { more }




Thanksgiving at TAPS
The sumptuous TAPS Thanksgiving buffet includes an array of salads, cold seafood and fresh oysters, charcuterie and cheeses, traditional herb-brined turkey breast, honey-glazed ham and other hand-carved meats. Cranberry Sauce

What You Need:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 12-oz package cranberries
  • optional-orange zest, cinnamon
How To Make:
  1. Clean cranberries. In a pan bring to a boil orange juice and sugar, stirring to dissolve sugar. Add cranberries, return to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer for 10 minutes until cranberries burst.
  2. Now you can add in the optional few strips of orange zest or a pinch of cinnamon.
  3. Remove from heat. Cool completely, then chill in refrigerator. Cranberry sauce will thicken as it cools.
