Did you build this site, or are you just a participant? I find it odd that more people aren't engaged. Perhaps we are more fringe than at first glance--on the other hand, it may be that people just haven't been introduced to it.

Is there a staff, or is it voluntary for the personnel at OCRA?

Just curious. I believe that there is a format and perhaps mutually profitable options on this board--or version of it.

I see something here that leads me to do a double-take.

I'm with you--dining out is just fun, and entertaining. Though I like to cook myself, it is quite pleasant to dive into other's cuisine and not have to clean the dishes. More importantly, though, is the question of who is the master in the OC? We know the usual suspects, but who's on the horizon?

I did send you my dining/HH word doc, right? It already needs some updating.

Also, did you hear about Blanca's (in Newport, near the Elks) health inspection debacle? Yikes.

I haven't seen anything new, other than there is a "nuevo" Mexican joint going into the old Mama Gina's space off of PCH. It doesn't sound very exciting to me, but hopefully I'll be surprised.

Now, if someone put in a higher-end Vietnamese, or an Asian-inspired soup/noodle or bento shop nearby--that would be exciting. We're a little light on simple Mediterranean go-to food (lunch grub) as well. (Souvlaki, Shawarma, Falafel, etc.)

I'll have to head over some of the places you've reviewed in Irvine.

We have a lot of burgers, though. . . .
