Chef Cathy’s new lunch and dinner menus utilize local seasonal produce

LUCCA Executive Chef/Co-Owner Cathy Pavlos is utilizing hyper-local produce from Orange County Produce. Located within miles of the restaurant, OC Produce in Irvine provides LUCCA with farm fresh, seasonal products that are produced with a sustainable commitment to the land, environment and their community. LUCCA will feature many of the farm’s California Certified Organic seasonal produce, including fava beans, cranberry beans (borlotti beans), purple carrots, sweet corn, asparagus, Tuscan kale, golden beets, heirloom tomatoes, and romano beans.

“These menus really do showcase the season’s most glorious offerings! We like to start with the best possible ingredients in the kitchen and then try not to change them or mask their natural flavors before serving them to the guests,” commented Pavlos, whose whole menu is based on the use of healthy and high quality ingredients that extend beyond locally grown organic produce, with the use of certified Angus beef, free-range turkey, hormone-free chicken, wild salmon and locally grown organic produce. “This season we are proud to feature produce grown for us right down the street at Orange County Produce – you can’t get much more local than that!’”

*This is a great example of local eating at its best – almost everything on this salad is local, even the Burrata made by di Stefano Family Dairy near Pomona!

Amatriciana 
LUCCA House Made Bacon, Savory Tomato Sauce, Chili Flakes, Spaghetti alla Chitarra, Pecorino Cheese and Torched Yellow Tear Drop Tomatoes

Ahi 
Hand Chopped Ahi Crudo, Farmers Market Watermelon, Mangoes, Heirloom Tomatoes, Feta Cheese, and Avocado with Pepita Sea Salt
Balsamic Vinegar and Honey Reduction

Scallops
Two Pan-Seared Hand Harvested Wild Scallops, Roasted Sweet Corn Risotto, Watermelon-Cucumber Salsa

Duck Leg  
Maple Leaf Farms Duck Leg Confit, Local Borlotti Beans, Arugula, Corn Bread, Thyme-Infused Cherry-Port Sauce, House Churned Honey-Infused Butter

Chopped Steak
Hand Cut Proprietary Blend of Premium Beef, seared just until warm with a Cage Free Fried Egg on top, paired with Hand Cut French Fries, Arugula, and Caramelized Shallots and touch of Soy Sauce Aioli
