Hotel Irvine's Spring Culinary Attractions

Spring is just around the corner and Hotel Irvine is ready. This year, Easter and Mother’s Day brunches in the resort’s expansive Backyard are great alternatives to your ordinary holiday brunches. Basketball fans can view their favorite teams compete while sipping on $2 brews. There will be two special four-course wine dinners in May and June. And, starting this month, guests can drink barrel-aged, pre-prohibition cocktails at $13 each. On-going popular offerings like Good Eats Brunch, Taco Twos Day, $1 Buck Shuck and Happy Hours will continue to please visitors as spring blossoms at Hotel Irvine.

Easter Picnic in The Backyard
Sunday, April 16; Three Seatings: 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.
This Easter extravaganza in The Backyard is where kids can take part in an all-out Easter egg hunt, pose for pictures with the Easter Bunny and put on their best smiles for photo booth fun. Guests can hop over to the chef-crafted buffet filled with brunch favorites like Huevos Rancheros, Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, Prime Rib and a build-your-own Mimosa Bar with fresh-squeezed juices.

Wine Nights at EATS Kitchen & Bar
Thursday, May 11, and Thursday, June 15, from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
New wine dinners are coming to EATS Kitchen & Bar. This spring two special dinners will each showcase an up-and-coming wine region – Austria and Argentina – highlighting select wineries from the region. Guests will be led through an interactive four-course meal, pairing these unique wines with an exclusive EATS menu.

March Madness at Red Bar and Lounge
March 14 to April 3
Red Bar and Lounge has got the brews. Sports nuts can catch their favorite NCAA March Madness games on the big screen and sip on $2 beers while they watch the action unfold.

Top of the Barrel at Red Bar and Lounge
During March, April and May
Barrel-aged, pre-prohibition cocktails with a modern twist at $13 each include Negroni, Old Fashioned and the Manhattan – created with Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Sazerac Dry Whiskey and Carpano Antica Vermouth, depending on the quaff. And, these brown spirits are all smoked and barrel-aged in American wood barrels for three weeks, adding more complex flavor for a smoother finish.

Smoke & Sip at Red Bar and Lounge
April and May from 3 p.m. daily
This is what lounging is all about. Every evening from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m., Red Bar and Lounge presents Smoke & Sip, where they will be sampling three different vintage single-malt Macallans paired with guest’s choice of a cigar from its selection. Smoke & Sip to be enjoyed on the patio for relaxation while taking in the cool evening breeze.

Pint Nights
Wednesdays during April and May
Red Bar and Lounge is offering its complete Draft Beer Line-up (16oz/pint) for $5 all night long. Especially recommended must-trys for California craft beer aficionados are Stone Delicious IPA and Karl Strauss Red Trolley Amber Ale both from San Diego and Barley Forge “The Patsy” Coconut Rye Stout crafted in Costa Mesa.

Hotel Irvine is doubling down on deliciousness. Every Tuesday, both EATS Kitchen & Bar and Red Bar and Lounge serve up their featured $2 tacos. New taco pairing being introduced this spring is $6 ceviche. And thirsty taco fans can pair their fare with fresh $5 margaritas.

$1 Buck Shuck
If it’s Wednesday, oyster fans can bet their bottom dollar on fresh, delicious oysters for just $1 each at EATS Kitchen & Bar – a taste of premium-quality varieties like Skookums, Fanny Bay, Chef’s Creek and Phantom Creek, served with a Bloody Mary granite, shallot mignonette, cocktail sauce, Tabasco and lemon wedges.

Happy Hour at EATS Kitchen & Bar
After a long day there’s only one place to go: Happy Hour at EATS Kitchen & Bar. Every day from 5 to 7 p.m., there are $2 bites, $3 draft beers, $4 wines and craft cocktails and a whole lot of fun. Bar seating only and no reservations.
