The Ducks hosted the 18th annual Dux in Tux on Thursday, February 22 on the ice at Honda Center.
This event is dedicated to raising funds for the Anaheim Ducks Foundation. The night featured some of Orange County and Los Angeles' most renowned chefs, each of whom donated their time and talent to the cause. Each chef was paired with an Anaheim Ducks "sous chef," each chef served a table of 14 for a unique dining experience. Our table was presented by Trejo's Tacos and Danny Trejo himself joined us for the evening. The food and the drinks were really phenomenal. Each of the six courses was paired with a crafty cocktail. It was an amazing experience.
With an attendance of over 500 guests, supporters of this sold-out event enjoyed an evening of stellar food and great company, while also learning about the work of the Anaheim Ducks Foundation, including programs such as Ducks S.C.O.R.E. (Scholastic Curriculum of Recreation & Education), Learn to Play and Top Flight.
All local chefs featured at Dux in Tux created a distinctive menu for their individual table. The tables are a major part of the experience as each table is over-the-top.
As part of the dinner program, a live auction took place with some pretty amazing items offered. With Kent French and Billy Harris serving as the live auctioneers, supporters bid on a Ducks Road Trip package for next season as well as other one-of-a-kind items such as a Locker Room Watch Party with Chef Jo-Jo and special guest chefs; a Hestan Grill as well as unique dining experiences donated by Dux in Tux chefs and restaurants and much more.
The mission of the Anaheim Ducks Foundation is to facilitate and support programs that produce positive change for children and families throughout Southern California by providing educational opportunities, broadening access to the sport of hockey and addressing the health and wellness needs of our community.
Through the Foundation, the Anaheim Ducks look to support exemplary Southern California nonprofit organizations and to help make a positive impact in the local community with programs such as Ducks S.C.O.R.E. (Scholastic Curriculum of Recreation & Education), Learn to Play powered by Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry and Top Flight Hockey Programs.
