The Anaheim Ducks hosted the 17th annual DUX IN TUX presented by Honda on Thursday, Feb. 23 at the Hilton Anaheim. The Honda Center is dedicated to raising funds for the Anaheim Ducks Foundation and this year over $400,000 was raised. The evening featured some of Orange County and Los Angeles’ most renowned chefs, each of whom donated their time and talent to the cause. (Complete list of participants included below). 

Each high-end Restaurant and Chef was paired with someone from the Anaheim Ducks organization who became their “sous chef” for the evening. Each chef prepared and served a table of 12 an over-the-top dining experience to long be remembered. With over 500 guests attending the sold-out event, the mission was accomplished as everyone enjoyed an evening of stellar food and great company, while also learning about the work of the Anaheim Ducks Foundation, including programs such as Ducks S.C.O.R.E. (Scholastic Curriculum of Recreation & Education), Learn to Play and Top Flight.

That is how the evening went down, but more specifically, all local chefs featured at Dux in Tux created their own distinctive menu for their individual table which included several courses, wine and signature cocktails. Each table was as unique as the next, elaborately decorated with special parting gifts for each and every guest. 

There is no way to describe how gorgeous this event is, but hopefully some of the photos will give you a look into the evenings festivities. It was incredible to see Ducks players, coaches, broadcasters or alumnus in tuxedos, working with their assigned chef to assist in the meal preparation tableside for their guests. The dinner program was co-emceed by Ducks television play-by-play announcer Brian Hayward and Ducks television host Kent French and they kept the crowd engaged as they feasted on their respective dinners.

The dinner concluded with a live auction with unbelievable packages and experiences that went for big bucks because of the generosity of the guests in attendance. Kent French served as the live auctioneer and supporters bid on a Ducks Road Trip package for next season as well as several other one-of-a-kind items, including a meet and greet with members of the Stanley Cup Champion 2007 Anaheim Ducks team who will be recognized at the Ducks home game on March 12.

The mission of the Anaheim Ducks Foundation is to facilitate and support programs that produce positive change for children and families throughout Southern California by providing educational opportunities, broadening access to the sport of hockey and addressing the health and wellness needs of our community.

Through the Foundation, the Anaheim Ducks look to support exemplary Southern California nonprofit organizations and to help make a positive impact in the local community with programs such as Ducks S.C.O.R.E. (Scholastic Curriculum of Recreation & Education), Learn to Play powered by Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry and Top Flight Street Hockey.
