The Hotel Hanford, Costa Mesa’s newest and most upscale boutique hotel, announced today that it will be hosting its “Wine Safari – South Africa in a Glass” event on Thursday, February 16, 2012, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in The Wine Salon. The fifth in a monthly series titled “Guilty Pleasures Wine and Food Pairings,” the event complements the hotel’s boutique environment as patrons experience a taste of South Africa in Orange County.
“Our Guilty Pleasures series has become a thrilling success, and the support from the local community has been vital,” said Cyrille Helen Hanson, The Hotel Hanford’s wine and event manager. “February’s event will feature a five-course dinner with matching wines that celebrate the rich flavors of South Africa.”
The “Wine Safari – South Africa in a Glass” event will delve into the culture’s rich flavors, and attendees will develop a new respect for the wines from this country. In addition to the exceptional South African wines, the event will preview some of the ethnic culinary delights that complement each wine.
Seating for “Wine Safari – South Africa in a Glass” is limited, and reservations are required. The cost is $85 per person plus tax and gratuity, which includes a five-course dinner with paired wines.
