San Diego-based The Range Kitchen & Cocktails, an American Eatery with a rustic, country-meets-contemporary vibe, has signed a lease at The Market Place. The expansion into Orange County marks the restaurant’s first venture outside San Diego and another best-in-class addition to The Market Place.
Opening this summer, The Range Kitchen & Cocktails offers sustainable, healthy and
local ingredients, cage free and grass fed proteins, a wide craft beer selection, cocktails and local
wine. The family-friendly restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
“The Range brings a unique concept to The Market Place, with their eclectic menu options,
coupled with sustainable ingredients and design elements,” said Dan Sheridan, president of Irvine
Company Retail Properties, which owns The Market Place. “The restaurant is a great fit for the
center, where we strive to bring new and exclusive concepts from within Southern California.”
The Range offers breakfast dishes – such as Potato Chip Chicken & Waffle and Potato Chip
Chicken Benedict – all day, with prices from $7 - $12. Signature entrees include Potato Chip
Crusted Chicken Tenders, Homemade Brisket, Wild Mushroom & Cheddar Burger, and a Sweet
Potato Glazed Steak. Lunch and dinner items range in price from $8 - $19.

including wood planks from second generation structures, menus printed on 100% recycled paper,
reclaimed tractor seats as bar stools, and large retractable doors giving a comfortable outdoor dining
experience while accenting an adjacent fountain in the center’s Courtyard Cafes.
The Range Kitchen & Cocktails was founded by David Schiffman, Robert Lane and Vania
Raitano, who also own Whiskey Girl in the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego. Other projects of Schiffman
include the Tipsy Crow, Double Deuce, located in the Gaslamp area of San Diego, and 1st Street Bar,
