Bayside, the critically acclaimed Newport Beach restaurant, is launching a new Sunday brunch line-up that includes bottomless Champagne/Mimosas, a range of starters followed by a choice of either a main course featuring breakfast fare or premium main that includes beef, lamb and fish selections. The 2-course breakfast option is $29.95 while the premium version is $36.50. A separate dessert menu is available.
Among the starters are roasted ruby beet salad with goat cheese, toasted walnuts Belgian endive topped in balsamic reduction; sourdough bruschetta with chopped tomatoes, pesto, petit greens and burrata mozzarella; and the chef’s house-made soup of the day.
The main courses include a California frittata with tomatoes, crushed avocado and Swiss cheese served with roasted potato; either Canadian bacon or smoked salmon benedict served on house brioche with a citrus Hollandaise, poached egg and asparagus; banana bread pudding with macerated fresh berries, pure maple syrup, whipped cream and topped with walnuts; open faced burger featuring a 9oz Angus beef patty smothered in forest mushroom gravy served with a fried hen egg and, Texas toast; linguini pasta topped with Colorado spring lamb ragu, Italian parsley and Parmesan; and grilled chicken breast salad with Asian slaw, noodles, edamame, walnuts and lightly drizzled with ginger sesame dressing.
Among the premium main courses are wild mushroom-crusted organic salmon in a Riesling sauce and served with potato puree and asparagus; Bayside’s famous lobster sandwich featuring Maine lobster salad served open face on Texas toast with lemon aioli, avocado and tomatoes; grilled lamb chops in a port wine mustard sauce served with garlic mashed potatoes and season vegetables; and prime beef culottes steak in a Madagascan pepper sauce accompanied by seasons vegetables and a potato trio.
Also new is Bayside’s build-your-own Bloody Mary Bar. Guests simply choose their preferred vodka, tequila or gin then create their own version of the popular cocktail.
Bayside is a contemporary dining establishment with an extensive menu emphasizing fresh seafood. The 246-seat restaurant overlooks the tranquil waters of Newport Harbor and features design elements that showcase an ever-evolving fine art exhibition.
