Most people would agree it's never too early to begin Mother’s Day shopping, especially if it’s for a good cause. On Wednesday, May 1st, Davio’s Ivine will host a trunk show for the newest collection of lifestyle designer, India Hicks. India Hicks, is known for her exclusive collections of well-crafted gifts, beauty and accessories. Each piece is designed by India herself and inspired by her British heritage, island life and madcap daydreams.
Guests are invited to nibble on a selection of chef inspired light bites while shopping the latest India Hicks collection. Proceeds from the shopping event will benefit the Illumination Foundation.
Illumination Foundation provides targeted, interdisciplinary services for the most vulnerable homeless adults and children in order to break the cycle of homelessness. More than 55,000 people are homeless in Southern California each year – 32,000 children are part of that number. “Every person deserves compassion, dignity, and the safety of a place to call home.“ Paul Cho, Co-Founder & CFO, Illumination Foundation. The “Street2Home” initiative uses innovative programs, integrated care, and unique partnerships, to help homeless clients find lasting stability. They assess every individual person to identify needs and provide immediate relief when necessary, followed by the care that combines housing, case management, medical care, mental health, and workforce services to decrease community dependency. They offer a low-entry threshold for the most vulnerable members of our community, with a focus on keeping families together and helping those with significant and/or chronic health conditions.
