The actual origins of National Grape Popsicle Day are unknown but the popsicle itself was invented in 1905 by Frank Epperson. Usually, when you go to a fundraiser, you have to prepare your palate for an evening of food that ranges anywhere from average to sub-par. Not that it's the fault of the venue, of course. After all, it is quite the arduous challenge to prepare dishes that hundreds of people will agree upon. Nevertheless, such a conundrum produces cuisine that is not all that exciting.
