The Sabroso Craft Beer & Taco Festival will take over Oak Canyon Park in Silverado with a Cinco de Mayo celebration of tacos and craft beer tastings on Saturday, May 2 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event comes courtesy of OC Brew Ha Ha festival producers and Sabroso will feature unlimited tastings from over 60 craft beers and $3 tacos from some of OC’s best chefs and restaurants.
The combination of craft beer with tacos continues to increase in popularity and Sabroso serves as an ideal platform for the perfect Cinco de Mayo pairing to shine. Local star chefs including Chef Cody Storts of GRITS in Fullerton, Chef Hop Phan of Dos Chinos Food Truck, Chef Greg Daniels of Haven Gastro Pub and the Award Winning Culinary Team from Taps Fish House will be on hand to offer attendees the best from SoCal’s regional flavors. Breweries including Stone Brewing Co., Bootleggers, Modern Times and Bottle Logic will present their finest brews for guests to enjoy. Hangar 24, Ballast Point Brewing, Saint Archer, Oskar Blues and more add to the vast variety of breweries that will populate the festival.
Keeping in line with the spirit of OC Brew Ha Ha events, Sabroso will offer event-goers spirited contests and engaging attractions Latin inspired live music, Lucha Libre wrestling matches and the El Smoko Loco Cigar Lounge “Presented by Gray Cloud” to entertain in between or during taco eating and craft beer sampling. Festivities will also include a live performance by local band, The Wheeland Brothers, known for their beach rock reggae sound.
Sabroso, by definition, means tasty. The components of this festival honor the spirit of its namesake and pair the tastiest tacos with the finest craft beers. Festival tickets are $55 online in advance. If the event does not sell out prior, tickets will be available at the door day of for $65.
