On July 15th and 16th Tradition by Pascal celebrated Bastille Day with a delicious five course dinner paired with White Burgundy & Red Rhone Wines. The menu, created by Chef Pascal, started off with a basket overflowing with crisp, fresh and organic vegetables which were served with accompanying dips. A second course of assorted pâtés and French cold cuts was served with homemade pickles whose slight bitterness cut the richness of the meats. Main course options included Cassoulet Toulousain: a French White Bean and Meat Stew, Grilled Cornish Hen Provençale with Fettuccine, Grilled Salmon Steak with Sauce Béarnaise, Rice Pilaf and Asparagus or Entrecôte: a New York Steak Bordelaise with Potato Gratin. The Cornish Hen was tender and juicy with the fettuccine cooked perfectly al dente and the Entrecôte was rich and flavorful. The creamy gratin was melt in your mouth yummy! The main course was followed by a trio of cheeses and fresh dried sweet apricots. Finally, dessert was presented as a trio of flavors including Chocolate Mousse, Oeuf à la Neige, and Warm Apple Tart. Diners walked away pleasantly full! Throughout the meal Elsie provided live entertainment as she serenaded tables with classics from Casablanca and Andrew Lloyd Webber, as well as, traditional French songs. The food was fantastic, the servers were friendly and knowledgeable and the ambience was warm and homey! Tradition by Pascal did a fantastic job of truly encompassing all aspects of Bastille Day!
