BBQ Meets Beer at Bad to the Bone BBQ’s Five-Course Pairing Dinner

Nothing beats good BBQ and a cold beer during the summer, except five courses of barbecue and craft beers at Bad to the Bone BBQ. Bad to the Bone BBQ will host a five-course beer pairing dinner featuring the beers of San Clemente, Calif.-based Left Coast Brewing Co. beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 12.

The dinner, priced at $36 per person, the night will begin with Blonde Marvel blonde ale. The first course will be mesquite-charred fennel salad with Cara Cara oranges and catfish fritter topped with preserved lemon tartar; paired with Del Mar St., a Dortmunder-style export lager.

The entrée course will feature smoked ancho chili lamb dumplings with cilantro lime purée, pickled onion salad and morning radish; paired with Hop Juice triple IPA. For an intermezzo, guests will enjoy Trestles, an American IPA. The meal will conclude with chilled Southwestern chocolate custard with charred lime and graham cracker crumble; paired with Asylum, a Belgian-style triple ale.
