The original Bluewater Grill in Newport Beach's Cannery Village is celebrating National Wine, Martini, Mai Tai and Tequila Days with special savings meant to compliment the West’s freshest sustainable seafood and shellfish.
On May 25’s National Wine Day, customers at all eight Bluewater restaurants pay just 50% for their first bottle of wine. The offer is an extension of Bluewater’s everyday no-corkage-fee policy.
“Every day is National Wine Day at Bluewater Grill,” said Jimmy Ulcickas, co-founder and co-owner of Bluewater Grill. “We want our customers to fully appreciate how well certain wines pair with our seafood and shellfish, so we wave the corkage fee 365 days a year.”
Three weeks later on National Martini Day on June 19, cocktail purists can enjoy Bluewater’s classic shaken drink made with vodka or gin for just $7.50, a $4.50 savings off the regular $12 price.
Similarly, on National Mai Tai Day on June 30, the restaurants’ signature Captain’s Mai Tai is priced at $7.50, representing a similar discount.
According to legend, the famous Polynesian cocktail containing variations of rum, Curacao liqueur, Orgeat syrup and lime juice was created by Victor Bergeron as the inspiration for his chain of Trader Vic’s restaurants and Tiki Bars starting in the 1940s.
Finally, on July 24’s National Tequila Day, fans of the distilled liquor made from the Mexican blue agave plant, can order Bluewater’s Pilikia and Serrano margaritas, or tequila shots, for the same $7.50. The Pilikia Margarita is named after Bluewater’s own Pilikia fishing boat which helps the restaurants source fresh, humanely captured Pacific swordfish and other seafood.
All four holidays are being celebrated at all eight Bluewater restaurants, including the newest Bluewater Grills in Carlsbad Village and on the Santa Barbara beachfront.
