Bluewater Restaurants are celebrating two obscure September holidays and are providing fun and savings for Bluewater Seafood Restaurant customers in Southern California and Phoenix – especially those who love cheeseburgers and can talk like a pirate.
In honor of National Cheeseburger Day on Sept. 18, customers at all seven Bluewater restaurants can enjoy Bluewater’s Angus Cheeseburger and a draft beer, glass of wine or non-alcoholic beverage for just $10.
The following day, Sept. 19, employees at Bluewater restaurants mark Talk Like a Pirate Day by greeting customers in pirate-speak, with some servers even dressing the part. Guests who reciprocate by ordering in pirate-speak receive a free cup of Bluewater’s homemade New England or Manhattan clam chowder with the purchase of any entrée.
The two days’ of promotions are offered at Bluewater Grill restaurants in Newport Beach, Tustin, Redondo Beach and Temecula, Calif., and in Phoenix, and at Bluewater Boathouse Seafood Grill on Coronado Island and Bluewater Avalon on Santa Catalina Island off the Southern California coast.
Bluewater Boathouse takes the swashbucklers’ holiday even further by rewarding customers a 15% discount if they dress like a pirate. The restaurant is also mixing a traditional pirate grog drink called the “Painkiller” and raising the Jolly Roger flag atop the cupola of its historic, over-the-water building that once served as the boathouse for the Hotel del Coronado.
