Fans of The Winery Restaurant & Wine Bar’s Executive Chef/Partner Yvon Goetz are encouraged to come show their support as he engages in the Cadillac Culinary Challenge, a two-day culinary duel with Chef Mary Sue Milliken, who has been featured on Bravo’s “Top Chef Masters.” The demonstrations will take place on Saturday, October 15 and Sunday, October 16 at 11:30 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Irvine Spectrum Center (71 Fortune Drive, Irvine, CA 92618; by the Giant Wheel between Macy’s and Nordstrom). This event is open to the public and there is no cost to attend.
“It is an honor to be selected to participate in this prestigious challenge,” commented Chef Goetz, who will be preparing his famous Chili Lime-Rubbed Mahi Mahi for the competition. “Cadillac, in conjunction with Bon Appetit, Epicurious and Share Our Strength, is sponsoring these events in 18 cities across the nation, and it’s a great feeling to have been selected for the only one in Orange County. I look forward to a great series of challenges against a terrific Chef!”
In addition to the cooking demonstrations, guests will be able to test drive various models Cadillac has to offer, and learn about the history of the brand through innovative touch screen kiosks.
