Charlie Palmer at Bloomingdale's Announces 2015 Food & Wine Event Lineup

The team at Charlie Palmer at Bloomingdale's, led by Executive Chef Seakyeong Kim and General Manager Dan Prentice, has come together to bring Orange County residents a series of food and wine events for the first half of 2015.  The events are categorized into four themes:  Winemaker Dinners, "House Parties with Chef Kim," Wine Wednesdays and Cellar Sales, and each is intended to offer an interactive and educational experience in the world of food and wine.
"Our ultimate goal is to offer unique epicurean experiences that bring people together here at Charlie Palmer at Bloomingdale's," says Dan Prentice, General Manager.  "We've developed thoughtful events that will introduce our guests to new and interesting wines, potentially by world-renowned winemakers, or teach them valuable and truly useful kitchen techniques, and much more."
The January - June event schedule is as follows:
Winemaker Dinners
With dynamic relationships with the best wineries in the business, Charlie Palmer at Bloomingdale's will play host to some of California's top vintners for the 2015 Winemaker Dinner series. From the moody fogs of the Central Coast, to the dipping hills of the Russian River Valley, to the esteemed terroir of Napa Valley, guests will raise their glass to some of the most notable wineries in the surrounding regions this year.
All Winemaker Dinners begin at 6 pm and are $159 per person, excluding tax and gratuity.

Pigs & Pinot in Orange County
Chef Kim is excited to introduce a Southern California version of Chef Charlie Palmer's widely popular Sonoma County pork and Pinot Noir event, Pigs & Pinot.  On February 25, celebrate all things swine and wine with over 35 of Sonoma's best Pinot Noirs, five incredible pork-inspired courses, and four of Northern California's most talented Pinot Noir winemakers for an unprecedented celebration of food and wine.  The evening will begin at 6:00 pm with a reception featuring 30 Pinot Noirs (procured by GM Dan Prentice,from his vintner friends from his years of running Dry Creek Kitchen in Healdsburg), served alongside Chef Seakyeong Kim's hors d'oeuvres style pork creations followed by a Gala dinner featuring five courses each paired with two Gala Winemaker Pinot Noirs.

There's no party like a chef party, right?  Executive Chef Seakyeong Kim proudly introduces a new event series for 2015, "House Parties with Kim."  These interactive evenings take place in the private dining room at Charlie Palmer at Bloomingdale's as Chef Kim shows off his culinary tricks of the trade.  And a good house party isn't complete without magnums of sparkling wine. Sommelier Augustus Miller will be on hand to pour his favorite Sparkling Wines, Rosés, Rieslings, Pinot Noirs and more, all from large format bottles.
All "House Parties with Kim" begin at 6:30 pm and are $95 per person, excluding tax and gratuity.

Wine Wednesdays
Held once a month, these interactive wine classes led by Sommelier Augustus Miller features an abundance of wines highlighting a particular region or theme. In each class, you'll take a journey though various regional characteristics, flavor profiles, and fun facts.
All classes run from 6-8 pm and are $25 per person.
