Cocktails And Live Music For The RMV Rodeo At Bad To The Bone BBQ

Bad to the Bone BBQ will celebrate the annual Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo with featured cocktails, live entertainment and dancing beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24.

The BBQ restaurant will raise a glass to rodeo-goers with two specialty cocktails, priced at $10.99 each: Mule Wrangler, made with Pendleton whiskey, pomegranate juice, ginger beer and fresh lime; and Pendleton Smash, a combination of Pendleton whiskey, peach schnapps, lemonade and fresh mint, topped with a peach slice.

The Kelly Rae Band, which has previously performed at Stagecoach Festival and opened for a number of high-profile artists including Miranda Lambert and Melissa Etheridge, will treat guests to a live performance. The band is set to take the stage at 7 p.m. in front of the restaurant.

For 19 years, the Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo has drawn the best contestants from around the world to compete in the richest two-day rodeo in the nation. With a purse totaling over $180,000, the top 30 contestants compete in each event for cash prizes and the grand prize. Carrying on the cowboy tradition of “passing the hat,” in support of a neighbor in need, all proceeds from the rodeo benefit local charities.

Bad to the Bone BBQ’s full dinner and spirits menus will also be available for the celebration. More information, including the full menus, are available online at
