Fashion Island Hotel is preparing for relaxation with family and friends during this festive holiday season. Throughout the holidays, there will be Fireside Sessions at Oak Grill featuring live seasonal guitar performances, just-for-the-season cocktails and yummy complimentary popcorn. The famous and always spectacular Gingerbread Display executed by Pastry Chef Andy de la Cruz and his holiday helpers is inspired this year by the popular book and movie, The Polar Express. Breakfast with Santa at Fashion Island Hotel is a not-to-be-missed kid treat experience. Executive Chef Brittany Valles will be wowing guests with her Four-Course Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Dinner and, the resort’s Brunch of Christmas Cheers on the 25th is exceptionally merry and bright, filled with champagne and mimosa toasts and a bountiful holiday spread.
Holiday Fireside Sessions at Oak Grill
Friday and Saturday nights starting Friday, November 23, through December 29, from 6 to 9 p.m.
These Fireside Sessions are a chance for friends and loved ones to warm up during the holidays at Oak Grill. Live acoustic holiday music will be performed by popular local guitarists. The holiday spirit abounds with toasting and sipping featured seasonal cocktails and nibbling on complimentary homemade holiday popcorn.
Fashion Island Express Gingerbread Display
Unveiled on Monday, November 26
Fashion Island Hotel’s Pastry Chef Andy de la Cruz, recently seen on Food Network, and his helpers will present another movie-themed gingerbread spectacular presentation, Fashion Island Express, with the much loved The Polar Express as its inspiration. The last stop on this express trolley is of course Fashion Island Hotel with its coastal holiday flair and style – all decked out with gingerbread and lots of decorative sparkle. Santa will be arriving with toys, and beautiful gift boxes will be placed underneath lit-up, glowing palm trees.
Breakfast with Santa in Fashion Island Hotel’s Cabana Room
Friday, December 9 and 16 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This is a wonderfully exciting experience for little ones. It includes a delicious buffet breakfast accompanied by Santa reading Christmas stories. Kids can create their own Christmas card and get their picture taken with Jolly St. Nick. Participants are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots.

Oak Grill’s Christmas Best
Monday December 24, and Tuesday, December 25, from 4 to 9 p.m.
‘Tis the season to indulge in the Christmas spirit and all its gaiety. Executive Chef Brittany Valles and her talented team are preparing Oak Grill’s Four-Course Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings. To start, a choice of Chicken Fried Quail with Buffalo sauce or Crispy Sunchokes with mustard frill. Next is either Wild Mushroom Soup or Little Gem Salad with yuzu vinaigrette. The main course selections are Beef Filet Bourguignon, Truffle Chicken Pot Pie, Kale Pesto Crusted Salmon or Beet Bolognese, all served with accompaniments. And for dessert, there is Egg Nog Crème Brûlée with gingerbread cake or Peppermint Mocha Crémeux.

Brunch of Christmas Cheers
Tuesday, December 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
At Fashion Island Hotel, they’re decking the halls and setting the table for a Christmas Brunch full of good cheers. This Christmas Day celebration will include champagne and mimosas with Farmers Market goodness such as Roquefort and Pear Salad; Brussels Sprouts with pancetta, dried cranberries and slivered almonds; and more. There will be Potato and Leek Soup and From the Ranch, Plank-Roasted Salmon with an array of vegetables. The Carving Station will feature Whole-Roasted Filet of Beef, Roasted Crown of Pork and Marinated Chicken Breasts. From the Coop tempts with eggs, eggs, eggs and sides of breakfast potatoes, applewood smoked bacon and breakfast sausages. Also, there will be a tamale grill, chilled seafood and Pain Perdu made to order with a choice of luscious toppings. Christmas-themed treats and assorted holiday pastries will be served for dessert.
