Pastry Chef Andy De La Cruz and his sweet brigade bring the iconic Newport Beach “bungalow scene” to life in the Lobby with their perfect coastal gingerbread re-creation inspired by nearby Crystal Cove cottages.
Holiday Treats in the Lobby & Toys for Tots Drop-off
Month of December, Thursday through Sunday, 1 to 4 p.m.
Families will enjoy warm apple cider and a variety of special holiday treats in the hotel lobby during December. Better yet, visitors can enjoy the art of giving back to the community when they drop-off unwrapped toys to support the Toys for Tots annual holiday campaign.
Children’s Gingerbread House Decorating with Pastry Chef Andy De La Cruz
Saturday, December 12, at 1 p.m.
Kids join Island Hotel’s Pastry Chef Andy De La Cruz in a favorite holiday tradition. This culinary class invites children ages five and older to learn the tricks and craft of gingerbread house decorating. Children create their own gingerbread sensations to take home while enjoying holiday treats in the process. Parental supervision is required.

November 27 through December 24
This is the perfect way to rejuvenate after a hectic shopping spree, and getting packages wrapped is part of the pleasure. Includes 60-minute Customized Facial; 30-minute Head, Neck & Shoulder Massage; seasonal Peppermint Body Polish leaving skin silky and refreshed; and complimentary gift wrapping for Fashion Island purchases.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at Oak Grill
Thursday, December 24, and Friday, December 25, served from 4 to 9 p.m.
Chef Marc Johnson will offer the ultimate Christmas meal featuring refined classics and contemporary California cuisine. The Four-Course Prix Fixe Menu includes choices such as Butternut Squash Ravioli; Slow Roasted Prime Rib with winter medley and whipped potatoes; and Seared Salmon with Meyer lemon gnocchi and parsnip puree. Guests relax while listening to acoustic Fireside music.
$100 per adult, with a choice of wine pairings for an additional $25; $25 for children’s menu options; children under five are complimentary. Excludes tax and gratuity.
Christmas Day Brunch in the Ballroom
Friday, December 25, served from 11a.m. to 3 p.m.
Guests will dine in a winter wonderland while sipping a glass of champagne and partaking of scrumptious globally inspired dishes from the lavish buffet, such as Tamales Grilled to Order, Salmon with Roasted Hazelnut Beurre Blanc, Whole Roasted Tenderloins of Beef and Duck Confit Risotto. Buffet holiday stations will offer: From the Farmer’s Market, Soups, From the Coop (Eggs, Eggs, Eggs), Pancakes Made to Order and an array of Christmas Desserts. Live music from the Fireside Lounge will add to this memorable holiday repast. There will also be a children’s craft corner to encourage budding holiday artists and give them a special place to meet new friends.
