Monthly Tasting from Bluewater Grills in Newport and Tustin

“Taste of New England Lobster & Clambake” on Tuesday, July 14.  Can’t make it to Martha’s Vineyard or Bar Harbor this summer? Inspired by the restaurant family’s deep roots in Massachusetts, Bluewater Grill reprises its popular New England lobster and clambakes in July with special tastings and month-long celebrations in Newport Beach and Tustin.

The Bluewater Grill New England Lobster & Clambake features steamed Maine lobster, Manila clams, fresh corn on the cob, baby red potatoes, crispy coleslaw, drawn butter - and a lobster bib, of course. The limited-time meal is available on the menu at Bluewater Grill, Bluewater Boathouse and Bluewater Avalon locations throughout July only. The cost of $34.95.

“Tuna Takeover” on Tuesday, August 11. Any way you slice it – from seared Ahi and Albacore to Calico Poke and Spicy Tuna Rolls – tuna takes top billing during annual Tuna Takeover Tastings at Bluewater Grill in August.

Bluewater’s popular Tuesday Night Tasting Series continues August 11 at Bluewater Grills in Newport Beach’s Cannery Village and The District at Tustin Legacy in Tustin. Seafood lovers can pair this expertly prepared, sustainably caught tuna with authentic Japanese beer and sake in addition to the customary wine.

“Sustainable Seafood Feast: How to Take Responsibility for Your Menu Choices” on Tuesday, Sept. 8. Bluewater Grill Newport Beach and Bluewater Grill Tustin, will feature a sampling of seafood and shellfish that has been sustainably caught or farmed according to standards established by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch® program, the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach Seafood for the Future program or the Marine Stewardship Council.

The special menu allows guests to select three courses, including a raw shellfish or hot seafood starter, a choice of signature chowder or lobster bisque, and an entrée, plus all-you-can eat sourdough bread and butter. Valued at $60, the special $34.95 menu includes a chosen tasting of Acrobat wines from Oregon, voted the best wine to pair with seafood and oysters.
