Red Robin Officially Invites Pope Francis to Lunch

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Inc. introduces The Wild Pacific Crab Cake Burger – a “Lent-friendly” menu item – and has joyfully extended an invitation to the pope to eat at Red Robin during the Lenten season. If His Holiness accepts and visits any U.S. location between February 18 and April 2, Red Robin will offer The Wild Pacific Crab Cake Burger to guests for FREE, while supplies last, on the remaining Fridays during Lent.

“Red Robin offers a variety of menu options that fit guests’ preferences – even during Lent,” said Denny Marie Post, Red Robin’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer. “We’re hoping that our invitation catches the pope’s attention. Of course, even if he doesn’t make a visit, we know The Wild Pacific Crab Cake Burger will satisfy our guests’ appetites. It’s a delicious burger!”

The newest addition to Red Robin’s Finest premium burger line, The Wild Pacific Crab Cake Burger, is made from tender jumbo lump, blue and Pacific snow crab, crisped to golden perfection and then topped with arugula, roasted garlic aioli, oven-roasted tomatoes, lettuce, Parmesan cheese and served on a caramelized ciabatta bun. Catch one before it’s gone because this premium menu item is only available at Red Robin® restaurants for a limited-time.

Red Robin’s divine invitation offers a delicious benefit for guests – here’s to hoping the pope will accept – hook, line, and sinker!
