Ruth's Chris Steak House Honors Robert Mondavi's 100th Birthday with Worldwide Wine Dinner

We love a medium rare juicy filet but we love it even more when paired with a wonderful wine. On June 13, Ruth's Chris Steak House will combine the two as the restaurant celebrates the 100th birthday of Robert Mondavi . The celebration includes a special five-course pairing dinner that will take place at 96 Ruth's Chris locations across the U.S. and abroad. Special guest, Margrit Mondavi , wife of the late Mr. Mondavi and the VP of Cultural Affairs for Robert Mondavi Winery, will co-host the dinner held at the San Francisco Ruth's Chris Steak House along with Helen Mackey , Senior Director of Menu Strategy for Ruth's Chris Steak House. Prior to the dinner, Mackey had the pleasure of spending time with Mrs. Mondavi where the two recorded a short video message that will be played to greet guests attending all of the dinners. Award-winning Director of Winemaking for Robert Mondavi Winery, Genevieve Janssens , will host the dinner at the Walnut Creek location.

"On June 13th, Robert Mondavi – Father of California wine, meets the first Lady of Steak, Ruth Fertel , the founder of Ruth's Chris Steak House. We will pay tribute to these two American icons by telling their stories through an incredible evening of food and wine," said Helen Mackey , Senior Director of Menu Strategy for Ruth's Chris Steak House. "This will be our largest dinner and also our first national dinner to go international with participating locations from San Salvador and Taiwan to Dubai."
