Andrew and Raquel Dorsey along with Dan Biello of SOCIAL Restaurant Group are pleased to announce the grand opening of their newest restaurant, SOCIAL Huntington Beach. Friday, September 6th, the doors will officially open to welcome the community. Huntington Beach’s newest kitchen and craft bar will offer a fun and relaxed setting with a lively and welcoming atmosphere. “We wanted to bring back the idea of dining as a social experience,” says Andrew Dorsey. “The concept of community is at the core of every decision we make.”
SOCIAL Huntington Beach was designed by Andrew and Raquel Dorsey in collaboration with Costa Mesa based firm Haus of Design and will offer a variety of Instagram-worthy photo opportunities that SOCIAL Restaurant Group has become known for. Showcasing the signature “SOCIAL” wall of reclaimed wood adorned with oversized marquee letters and plenty of greenery, the Huntington Beach space will have a familiar yet more beach-inspired vibe than its Costa Mesa counterpart. The interior of the restaurant has been reimagined with unique light fixtures, an airy color palette and an abundance of natural light to make the show-stopping centralized bar the focal point.
Back as Corporate Executive Chef, Huntington Beach native Jeffrey Boullt will oversee the kitchen at both sister restaurant, SOCIAL Costa Mesa, as well as SOCIAL Huntington Beach, at which Wyatt Lash has been appointed Executive Chef. Lash comes to SOCIAL from Pacific Hideaway where he was also Executive Chef. For the new location, Boullt has developed a distinct menu to reflect his hometown community which includes a lineup of elevated classics and California coastal cuisine. “It’s a dream to be a part of opening a restaurant in my hometown,” says Boullt. “Our goal was to create a spot the community could be proud of, and we’ve taken SOCIAL Huntington Beach to the next level.”
The new-American dining concept will offer a fresh lineup of weekly food and beverage happenings like Taco Tuesday, All-Night Happy Hour Wednesday, King Crab Leg Thursday, Wagyu Prime Ribeye Friday and Fried Chicken Supper Sunday. The restaurant will have unique features including a Raw Bar highlighting dishes like Peruvian Scallop with sugar cube melon, cucumber and yuzu ponzu and will embrace the site’s woodfire grill as a backbone flavor with menu items such as Black Garlic BBQ Sticky Ribs with grilled peaches and black vinegar slaw.
Bar Director, Grayson Diercksmeier will helm the beverage program at both SOCIAL Huntington Beach and the Costa Mesa location. Widely known for pushing the envelope on flavor and presentation, Diercksmeier’s expertly crafted cocktails utilize the freshest local ingredients, creating the perfect complement to Chef Boullt’s dishes. The SOCIAL Huntington Beach menu will welcome several new cocktails including the luxuriously fruity, Goodwill Huntington and vacation inspired Lil Beach.
