TAPS Fish House & Brewery in Irvine, in partnership with Pavilions, invites you to a unique Fall Harvest Wine Dinner: Napa vs Australia on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy a five-course menu with each course paired with two wines – a Napa Valley selection and an Australian selection. The culinary journey begins with Octopus Carpaccio and Tuna Tataki paired with 2018 Etude Pinot Gris and 2018 Penfolds Bin 51 Riesling; followed by Poached Pear and Oriental Melon Tart Tatin paired 2017 Stags’ Leap Chardonnay and 2018 Penfolds Bin 311 Chardonnay. Next, enjoy Ostrich Medallions paired with 2014 Beringer Quantum and 2016 Penfolds Bin 389 Cabernet Shiraz. A fourth course features 72-Hour Pinwheel Short Rib and “Shrimp-on-the-Barbie” paired with 2015 Georges De Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and 2017 Penfolds Bin 407 Cabernet Sauvignon. For dessert, indulge in Pecan Brown Butter Cake topped with Sweetened Cream Fraiche Ice Cream paired with Beaulieu Vineyard Muscat De Beaulieu and Penfolds Club Tawny.
