Zucchini Season at FIG & OLIVE Newport Beach

FIG & OLIVE Newport Beach, Fashion Island’s French Riviera-inspired restaurant best known for their use of olive oil in place of butter or cream, showcases seasonal ingredients such as zucchini from local farms (Kenter Canyon Farm, Weiser Family Farm, and Babe Farm). In honor of National Zucchini Day, Saturday, August 8, here is some of the zucchini dishes from FIG & OLIVE.

From raw renditions to battered blossoms, FIG & OLIVE’s abundant use of zucchini on the new Summer menu is highlighted in dishes such as:

  • Crab & Heirloom Tomato Crostini with zucchini purée
  • Zucchini Carpaccio with thinly sliced, raw zucchini, lemon juice, pine nuts, Parmesan, and Arbequina olive oil
  • Zucchini Blossom & Goat Cheese Ravioli with housemade goat cheese ravioli, zucchini emulsion, tomato confit, crispy zucchini blossom, parmesan, shaved ricotta salata, and Arbequina olive oil
